Nuance reads a photo you like, then makes yours look like it.

The idea

Most camera apps hand you twenty sliders and a subscription wall. Nuance asks one question instead: which photo do you want yours to look like? Feed it a reference and the grade comes back applied, in a second, with a strength dial if you want less of it.

The stock filters are tuned for food and interiors, where every other app blows out the highlights and turns a plate into grey mush.

How Match works

The reference photo is decomposed into a statistical description of its light and colour. That description is then transferred onto your image rather than pasted over it, so your own exposure and detail survive the process. It runs entirely on the phone, so photos never leave the device and there is no account to make.

Filters you build can be shared as a short code. Someone else pastes it and gets the identical look, without the file.
